Description

Heyo guys, I have finally uploaded something else on my DA and it's this xD I haven't done too much digital art lately so you will have to forgive me.

Anyways, about two months ago, the game I love to play (Transformice) hosted a cosplay contest to see who could dress up the best as something of the game! I of course, went classic and did a Transformice shaman, I knew it would be fun undertaking this project, after all, it is my FIRST fullsuit, and I was looking forward to learning how to use a sewing machine.

A friend allowed me to borrow her seing machine for this project, (AND I THANK HER SO MUCH FOR TRUSTING ME WITH IT BECAUSE THAT WAS LEGIT MY FIRST TIME EVEN SEEING A SEWING MACHINE) thankfully, I was able to get the hang of it rather quickly and had it up and running within the hour after a few trials and errors. (Danged nesting)

This took about 3 weeks in total from start to finish, and I'd say the end cost of all the materials was about 60$ So not horrible. Thankfully, I had a fursuit head laying around from my cosplay as my OC Inu 2 years ago which I stripped of fur and modified (A LOT) to make the head for this costume, so that helped.

MATERIALS
HEAD
Base: An old fursuit head made out of foam and secured with wire, had to be modified greatly.
Fur: Brown fleece ((I find fleece easier to work with than fur))
Ears: Cut out of foam, given shape, and secured to the head with wire, the nicks in the ears have pink foamies to look more realistic.
Muzzle: Given shape using wire and foam, nose is a tan felt. Currently no breathing holes but I'll add that in before Halloween.
Markings: Cut from blue fleece.
Feather: Bought some dyed feather from a craft store, used the blue ones.
Eyes: Same as last year, drew the eyes on crinoline and cut out a circle from a clear cd case, pasted them together and boom, eyes that look realisticish and keep their shape.

UPPER BODY
~The shirt was cut and sewn from scratch using brown fleece, was sleeveless at first before I sewed on the sleeves.
~There is a zipper and button on the back to allow for easier entry since I have a fat head.
~The markings were cut out of blue fleece and pasted on using hot glue.
~The gloves were sewn from tan felt ((One ended up bigger than the other, whoops))

LOWER BODY
~Pants cut from brown fleece then sewn together, they have elastic I cut from an old pair of boxers inside to keep them held at the waist.
~Markings on pants cut from blue fleece and pasted on using hot glue.
~The pants have a frill cut out at the bottom so it looks like sure as it transitions to the foot.

FEET
~Cut out the shape of a mouse's paw out of foam and cut out the middle to give space for a shoe, gave it shape and details then pasted it to an old pair of shoes.
~Paws are covered with tan felt using hot glue, the shoelaces are still accessible.

TAIL
~Cut out of a huge amount of tan felt, sewn together, and flipped it inside out. Filled with poly-fill to the brin and closed and wrapped the extra flap of material at the base around a belt. Further secured with a ton of wire and hot glue.

ACCESSORIES
NECKLACE: 'Teeth' things formed out of white clay, given details to look like shark teeth, including serrated edges. Was baked, allowed to cool and then looped through a long piece of yarn. Secured in place by hot glue.
TAIL CHARM: Blue ball cut out of blue fleece and sewn together, flipped inside out, and stuffed with poly-fill. The feather was done by hot gluing cut yellow and white feathers to a small piece of sponge. The part that goes on the tail is made from yellow fleece and allows the charm to be added and removed from the tail as pleased. The entire thing has multiple parts of white yarn the secures each section together.

SETTING
~'Borrowed' a bench my landlord had laying around to look like a long plank and put it in front of a large plant fern tree thing grwing out of a fence.
~Grabbed two basketballs I had laying around in my attic and spray painted them to look like a cannon and a tfm ball. the srrow had to be painted on manually.
~Found a tiny plank from a broken cabinet in a backyard, works great as a small plank!

Also, in case you are curious how the cosplay went, I WON! I was one of the 1st place winners, and I really thank Atelier for giving us a chance to show our creativity! (Not to mention I needed to make a Halloween contest anyway so this will also double as that xD))
